Detailed review of Killzone 3:

The Good-
-         Shooting action is weighty and satisfying
-         Interesting set-piece battles in Campaign mode
-         More environmental and gameplay variety than before
-         Astonishing visuals

The Bad-
-         The story is awful
-         Co-op play is local only and is hampered by frame rate problems
-         Not all changes to the online multiplayer are for the better

Game modes:
Same as Killzone 2, Killzone 3 presents options of Single player campaign and online multiplayer (with and without bots). What new is included is option to play campaign via local co-op play. We are surprised that why online co-op for campaign is not available. Lets hope it comes available in Killzone 4. Another new option is to play with Playstation Move controls, and to use a 3D TV if you're wealthy enough to afford one.

Storyline-
Killzone 3 starts right where Killzone 2 left off, with a small group of ISA soldiers left on the hostile Helghan world and yet again, you play as Sev, the returning hero from the second game.
I don’t want to spoil the story, but I personally was disappointed with how it was scripted and how uninteresting it became just after a few minutes of gameplay probably because it's not engaging. Another reason is the character portrayal in Killzone 3 is one-dimensional. From our hero, Sev, to the evil Helghast leaders, you pretty much have their personalities pinned throughout the game. Unlike Captain Templar from the original Killzone, there are no likeable characters in Killzone 3, so the storyline becomes dull and non-personal.

Graphics-
Barring characters and story, Killzone 3 is a superb first-person shooter. Killzone 3 is easily amongst the best looking games on PS3, and its environments are so perfect that it makes the combat more immersive and satisfying. Superbly animated enemies, enormous landscapes and glowing lighting, haunting environments and surreal graphical transitions look so plausible. Compared to Halo’s alien environment, Killzone 3 environment is more like dwellings of human colonies destroyed by war with crumbling concrete and twisted pieces of rebar everywhere.

Gameplay-
The controls are considerably tighter, shooting feels more real thanks to the weight and swing of the weapon, climbing ladders to running to slamming into cover - it all feels like you are in the game all the time. You get to play in-game levels on foot and also in a super powered vehicle with balance of gameplay in both of these modes. Also skirmish is so intense, and so visually satisfying, you won’t care about story much and play to fight to get through the stage all the times. There's an excitement as you move, jump, and shoot that you rarely feel in shooters, giving every shot that finds its mark a satisfying sense of impact and keeping you mindful of where you step before you wade into a sea of gunfire.
For those looking forward to play with PS3 Move, though move controls are functional, they are no way superior or better than an analog controller.

Final Comments-
Killzone 3 is enjoyable because it’s not just a shooter, it’s an experience. Guerilla’s Killzone 3 has gorgeous scenes, which make you feel like you’re a part of a brutal, human war that is fantastic in setting. Combine this with the superb pacing and you have a campaign that’s totally fun. Though this may not be the best game on the PS3, but it’s a best option for shooter / FPS fans
